Like the rest of the world Covid 19 has greatly affected the operations of the bankruptcy system. All hearings held by the bankruptcy court are done by telephone. The federal courthouse is physically closed but remains open for electronic filing.

The meetings of creditors are also conducted by phone. Call in numbers are posted on the docket and attorneys, debtors and creditors must call in to participate in the meeting. These can be become chaotic with so many people on the line.

For consultations with our office we can do them by phone or zoom but we would prefer you come into the office for an in person meeting. When choosing an attorney it is important to establish a level of trust and to insure that you have confidence in their competence and abilities.
